Volunteers- How You Can Help- Get Involved- Teach the Kids!
Volunteers are our heroes and thanks to the many who have helped us thrive and grow. There are many ways to be involved with Seattle NextGenBridge. Join us and put your expertise to work for the kids.
We need volunteers for:
School Outreach- Contact and visit our targeted schools to have them join the SNGB School Bridge League. Put your communication skills to work with the PTSA, incoming students, Family Nights and other school activities to increase awareness and interest in SNGB.
Teaching- Bring bridge into After School Enrichment Programs and individual classes. Choose from many materials- in the ACBL school lesson series and many other resources. Work with our school partners and prepare lesson plans and curriculum. Prior teaching experience is an asset but not necessary.
Its important to enjoy working with all types of kids and have a sense of fun. Activity mentoring through bridge gives students skills they can use for life.
Classroom Helpers- Assist teachers in the classes- a great way to learn along with the kids and improve your game.
Events- Help us with our Happy Holiday Tournament and our Annual Spring School Bridge Tournament- setup/cleanup, registration, organize food & snacks, table monitor during play, etc.
Community Outreach- Help us spread the word- Bridge is back- bigger and better than ever! Tell your fiends, co-workers and relatives. Take a bridge class, play at the local bridge clubs, sectional and regional tournaments.
Please contact us to join Seattle NextGenBridge Volunteers- thank you.
